The top three most popular places to take a date on Valentine's Day are a French restaurant, a cupcake shop, and a winery.
This number seems really high, but according to a new survey, about 10% of relationships are going to END today! (You'd THINK people would wait until AFTER Valentine's Day to dump someone . . . but maybe people see today as the best opportunity to be hones.)
The number one thing single people want to do is... hang with their pets!
People are about TWICE as likely to get engaged today as any other day.
Want to SPICE IT UP on Valentine's Day? 58% of people say they, quote, "enjoy a little pain." Haha YIKES!
After all the hype, only 60% of Americans plan on celebrating Valentine's Day! For comparison, 93% celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa . . . 88% celebrate July 4th . . . and 83% celebrate Mother's Day. Of the holidays we spend money on, only St. Patrick's Day has lower participation than Valentine's Day, at 54.2%.
